I have been thinking about doing this for a while – but I am finally doing it!
Saturday June 20th I am running a one day retreat in the Byron Bay hinterland for mamas. The focus of day will be to focus on supporting mamas to reconnect with their creativity, and find ways to expand creative expression.
So many mothers I talk to share a similar sentiment. ‘I used to be so creative,’ they say.
Buried under nappies and sleepless nights, being creative is a distant thought.
Some though burn with creative ideas. For me, a creative side of myself unfurled in motherhood. Maybe it’s the fact that I no longer work full time. Or maybe something actually happened to my biological make-up when I birthed a child. Maybe it’s that I spend the days nurturing my children’s creative expression…
Whatever it is, creative stuff is going on, and I’ve never been so productive.
One of the things I love most about the blogging workshops I do is the electricity that sparks across the room as we share ideas and inspiration. These workshops are as much about the technicality of setting up a blog as they are helping people step into their creative zone, and come up with new and interesting ideas for their business and creative aspirations.
I LOVE this energy. So much.
Mama Creative will be a day spent nourishing our creative selves. I will help you identify what your creative potential is – no matter how obscure and distant it may feel at this moment.
And if you are burning with creative drive, but feel frustrated by lack of time and exhaustion, we will talk about reclaiming snippets of your time to dedicate to your creative self.
I am providing a wholesome lunch and real coffee. The retreat will be hosted at Jemima’s, which is a lovely, peaceful guest house nestled in the hills behind Harvest Cafe. And what a lovely way to connect with others with creative bones…
Visit here for all the details of the day. If you have any questions, just ask.
Hope I have drawn you in?
Is your creativity hidden away – buried under a mountain of responsibilities? Or is it at your fingertips? Do you feel you have time to meet your creative needs?
